How Many Oranges Should I Eat A Day?

7 Comments 03 January 2012

I LOVE sweet, delicious navel oranges. I’ve eaten four today (so far) and I just want to know if, diet wise, that’s okay. I’ve read diet advice that said you can eat all of the delicious fruit and vegetables you want and it’s okay. Is this so? Can I eat all of the yummy oranges I love so much as part of a diet plan? Also, I’ve practically only been eating lean meats, vegetables, peanuts, (natural) peanut butter, Cheerios (with fat free milk) and now oranges lately. Does that sound like a good diet? By good, I mean healthy and capable of contributing to weight loss.

Theres an old saying that too much of anything isnt good for anybody. Such as a ring around your mouth. Other wise they are perfectly healthy. Gods fruit cannot do any seriosus damage to your body.

my dad eats two aday. he says it keeps him from dry mouth, and he still takes vitamin C pills. hes been doing this for two years, so i think two a day is good.

It’s fine. Once my sister ate 9 in one day but she had a orange ring around her mouth for a few hours.

Oranges are great for your health, but remember that they are high in sugar, so too much isn’t good for you. They are also quite acidic, so too much can cause sores in your mouth

Well oranges have sugar. Your body sees no differences between the sugar in an orange and the ssugar in candy. sugar is turned into calories which are given to cells for energy. The calories that the cells do not use is stored away for later in fat cells. For that reason I would not recommend eating too many oranges in one day. I would say that eating two oranges per day is fine if you regularly go running, biking, walking, etc.
